Bluesky

#What you can post

• Text up to 300 characters per post. Links and hashtags are made clickable.
• Up to 4 images, or 1 video. A video can't be combined with images.
• Images must be under 1 MB each. Videos must be under 100 MB.
• Threads: extra parts are published as replies, each one replying to the part before it.

#Connect your account

1. In Bluesky, create an app password under Settings → Privacy and security → App passwords.
2. In Postline, click + Add next to Channels in the sidebar. Only workspace owners and admins can add channels.
3. Choose Bluesky and fill in:
   • Handle: for example yourname.bsky.social.
   • App password.
   • PDS server (optional): leave empty to use https://bsky.social.
4. Click Add channel.

#For self-hosters

No server setup is needed. People connect with their own handle and app password.

#Analytics and plugs

Postline collects likes, replies (shown as comments), and reposts plus quotes (shown as shares) per post. It also tracks your follower count.

Plugs:

• Auto-repost: supported. Postline reposts your post once it reaches the number of likes you set.
• Follow-up: supported. Postline replies with a follow-up once the post reaches the number of likes you set.

#Known issues

• Bluesky posts can have one video or up to four images, not both.
• Images over 1 MB are rejected: "Bluesky images must be under 1 MB".
• Videos over 100 MB are rejected: "Bluesky videos must be under 100 MB."
• If Bluesky can't process a video, the post fails with "Bluesky could not process the video".
