Workspaces

A workspace holds its own channels, posts, media and team. Agencies often use one workspace per brand or client.

  • To create another workspace, go to Settings → Workspace → New workspace.
  • If you belong to more than one workspace, switch between them with the menu at the top of the sidebar.
  • Each workspace has its own plan.
  • Only an owner can delete a workspace. Deleting it removes its posts, media and channels.

Invite people

Only owners and admins can invite people.

  1. Go to Settings → Team.
  2. Under Invite someone, enter their email.
  3. Choose a role: Editor or Admin.
  4. Choose Send invite.

The person gets an email with an Accept invite link. If email isn't set up on the server, Postline shows the link so you can share it yourself. Choose Copy link. The link works once and expires in 7 days.

Pending invites are listed under Pending invites. Choose Cancel to withdraw one.

  • Change someone's role in the members list in Settings → Team.
  • Only an owner can make someone an owner or change an owner's role.
  • A workspace always needs at least one owner.
  • Anyone can leave a workspace. Owners and admins can remove members.

See Approvals and comments for how roles work with approval.

Customers (client groups)

Group channels by client or brand so you can focus on one at a time.

  1. In the sidebar, open a channel's menu (⋯).
  2. Choose Set customer… and enter the client or brand name, then choose Save.

Once at least one channel has a customer, an All customers menu appears above the channel list. Pick a customer to see only their channels. The calendar also shows only their posts.

Only owners and admins can set customers.

Channel sets

A set is a saved group of channels with their network settings, such as one set per client.

  1. In the composer, pick the channels.
  2. Choose Save as set and give it a name.
  3. Next time, pick the set in the composer to select its channels in one click.

Manage sets in Settings → Content → Sets. A workspace can have up to 100 sets.

Signatures and templates

Both live in Settings → Content.

  • Signatures are reusable text such as a sign-off, links or hashtags. Mark one as default to add it to every new post. Insert others from the composer with Insert signature….
  • Templates save a post's text, thread, channels, network settings, images and tag. Save one from the composer with Save as template, then use Start from a template… to begin a new post from it.
