YouTube
Connect YouTube to Postline to schedule video uploads with a title, thumbnail and first comment, and see views, likes and comments.
What you can post
- Every post needs exactly one video.
- You can add one image, which becomes the video's thumbnail.
- The post text becomes the video description, up to 5,000 characters.
- Vertical videos under 3 minutes appear as Shorts.
- Extra parts of a post are published as comments on the video.
- Per-post settings:
- Title: required, up to 100 characters.
- Visibility: Public, Unlisted or Private. The default is Public.
- Category: the default is People & Blogs.
- Tags: comma separated.
- Made for kids: required by law (COPPA) to be set correctly.

Analytics and plugs
Postline collects views, likes and comments per video, and tracks your subscriber count (shown as followers).
Plugs:
- Auto-repost: not supported.
- Follow-up: supported. Postline adds a follow-up comment once the video reaches the number of likes you set.
Known issues
- YouTube needs exactly one video. Add at most one image, used as the thumbnail.
- Custom thumbnails need a verified YouTube account. If YouTube rejects the thumbnail, the video is still published without it.
- Connecting fails with "This Google account has no YouTube channel. Create one first." if the account has no channel.
- Postline refreshes the Google access token automatically. If access was revoked or no refresh token is stored, you see "Google access was revoked. Reconnect the channel." or "Google access expired. Reconnect the channel."
