What you can post

  • Long-form articles up to 100,000 characters, in Markdown. Postline adds the title as a heading at the top.
  • Up to 10 images, added below the text. Video isn't supported.
  • No threads or comments.
  • Per-post settings:
    • Title: required, up to 250 characters.
    • Tags: up to 5.
    • Status: Public, Unlisted or Draft. The default is Public.
    • Original URL (canonical): if the article was published elsewhere first.

Connect your account

  1. In Medium, find your integration token under Settings → Security and apps.
  2. In Postline, click + Add next to Channels in the sidebar. Only workspace owners and admins can add channels.
  3. Choose Medium and paste the Integration token.
  4. Click Add channel.

For self-hosters

No server setup is needed. People connect with their own integration token.

Images are linked from their Postline URL, so APP_URL/uploads/... (or your S3 public URL) must be reachable from the internet.

Analytics and plugs

Postline doesn't collect analytics for Medium yet. Plugs aren't available.

Known issues

  • Medium no longer issues new integration tokens. You can connect only if you already have one.
  • Every article needs a title.
